Post-conference scientific and tourist field-trip in the Romanian Carpathians (for those who have paid the supplement of €200/person).

This scientific field-trip will take place on Thursday and Friday, July 6 – 7, having as general itinerary: București – Voinești - Câmpulung Muscel - Bran - Braşov – Sinaia – București. The fees paid by the participants cover: transportation (by bus), accommodation (one night), meals during the excursion (one dinner, one breakfast, two lunches) entrance and tickets to visit different places of interest.

Accommodation will be in the village of Bran, very close to the famous Bran Castle, in the Club Vila Bran tourist complex Club Vila Bran (https://vilabran.ro/en/; https://vilabran.ro/en/recreation-entertainment) which offers several leisure possibilities, including swimming pools (for those who are interested, a swimsuit will be useful).

The excursion program will include visits to scientific and tourist places: sites for hydro-meteorological measurements, cities of Braşov and Sinaia, Bran Castle and Peleș Castle in Sinaia.

All participants to the field-trip are advised to bring appropriate clothing and shoes suitable for walking both on the ground (not too steep!) and in the city. Generally, in this period, it is hot (20 - 22oC the average air temperature of July, but the maximum values can exceed 35o C) and sunny, but rains could occur. 

The return to Bucharest is scheduled around 8 p.m. (in the city center), but without being able to ensure this time with certainty. The return route passes through the airport and those interested can get off there (around 7:15 p.m.).
